What each Boulevard plan includes

All three plans cover the core of running a salon: online booking, text and email reminders, waitlists, walk-ins and check-in, booking deposits, memberships and packages, commission tracking, inventory, reports and checkout. The differences are mostly about team size, locations and bundled extras.

Essentials: $159 a month

  • For: one location with up to 5 providers. Boulevard calls it the plan "for small teams with simple operations."
  • Includes: 250 free texts and 1,000 marketing emails a month, plus 50 GB of storage.
  • Missing: more than one location, shared memberships, and Google Analytics and Meta Pixel tracking on your booking page.

The 5-provider limit is the catch. Hire a sixth person and you have to move up to Premier, which adds $100 to $166 a month.

Premier: $325 a month per location

  • For: growing salons, and anyone with more than 5 staff or more than one location.
  • Adds: unlimited staff, multiple locations, shared memberships, and Google Analytics and Meta Pixel tracking.
  • Same as Essentials: 250 free texts and 1,000 emails a month.

With the fall offer it's $260 a month, or $234 a month paid yearly.

Prestige: $455 a month per location

  • Adds: the Forms add-on (client intake forms and charts), 2,500 free texts, 10,000 emails and 100 GB of storage.
  • Boulevard marks it "Most Popular". With the fall offer it's $364 a month, or $328 paid yearly.

Prestige mostly makes sense for spas and med spas that need intake forms, or salons that send a lot of texts.

The extra costs on top of the plan

The plan price isn't the whole bill. These are the extras Boulevard lists:

Extra What it costs
Card processing Starting at 2.65% per card payment
Boulevard Offset Clients pay a 3% fee on cards, and you pay 1%
Extra texts Pay per text you send and receive after your free ones. The rate isn't published.
Automated campaigns $2 per appointment the campaign brings in
Extra emails $0.01 per email after your free ones
Forms From $65 a month per location (included on Prestige)
QuickBooks sync $45 a month per location
Payment terminal You buy Boulevard's own Duo terminal to take cards. The price isn't published.

A few things Boulevard doesn't publish at all:

  • No free trial. You book a demo with sales instead.
  • No published contract terms. Ask how long you're committing for, and what it costs to leave early, before you sign.
  • No published hardware price for the Duo payment terminal.

Card fees are usually the biggest extra. A salon taking $15,000 a month in card payments pays about $398 a month at 2.65%. That's often more than the software itself.

What a salon really pays for Boulevard

Here's what three typical salons would pay for Boulevard's software each month on monthly billing, before card fees:

Salon Boulevard plan it needs Boulevard per month Boulevard per year
3-person nail or lash studio Essentials $159 $1,908
6-person hair salon Premier (6+ staff) $325 ($260 with the fall offer) $3,900 ($3,120)
10-person salon Premier $325 ($260 with the fall offer) $3,900 ($3,120)
10-person spa with intake forms Premier + Forms $390 ($325 with the fall offer) $4,680 ($3,900)

Paying yearly saves about 10%. Each extra location adds a full plan price on top.

Add QuickBooks and you pay another $540 a year per location. Use automated "come back" campaigns and every appointment they bring in costs $2.

Is Boulevard worth the price?

Boulevard is polished software, and its own site is upfront that it "works best for salons with an established team." Here's how it shakes out by salon size:

  • Solo artist or a team of 2 to 3: usually not. You'd pay $159 a month for a single location. Boulevard itself says a single-chair business "may not need everything Boulevard offers yet."
  • Small salon with 4 to 10 staff: it depends. Once you pass 5 providers you're on Premier at $325 a month. That's a lot unless you need its higher-end features, like memberships across locations or detailed marketing tracking.
  • Established high-end salon, spa or med spa: often yes. If you sell memberships and packages, need intake forms and have the revenue to match, Boulevard is built for you.
  • Multi-location group: possibly, but every location pays a full plan. Compare it with other tools in best salon software for multiple locations.

Cheaper options for small and growing salons

Boulevard charges by location, so a small team pays the same as a big one. If you have 10 people or fewer, a tool that charges per person usually costs much less.

SupaDay is one of them:

  • Grow plan: $14 a month per person, capped at $99, for up to 10 staff.
  • Includes: online booking, walk-ins and turns, commission tracking, checkout and 500 text reminders a month.
  • No contract and no setup fee, plus a 30-day free trial with no credit card.

Here's the same comparison:

Salon Boulevard per month SupaDay Grow per month Saved per year
3 people $159 $42 $1,404
6 people $325 ($260 with the fall offer) $84 $2,892 ($2,112)
10 people $325 ($260 with the fall offer) $99 $2,712 ($1,932)

Standard card processing fees apply on both when clients pay by card. See SupaDay's pricing for the full breakdown.

The bottom line

Boulevard's pricing is fair for what it is: premium software for established salons and spas that will use its memberships, marketing and multi-location tools. For a small or growing salon, though, $159 to $325 a month per location, plus 2.65% card fees and paid extras, is a lot to spend on features you may never touch. If your team is 10 people or fewer, compare a per-person tool before you book the demo. Try SupaDay free for 30 days →
