How to Add and Manage Services

Services are the core of your booking system. Each service has a name, duration, and price that your clients see when booking and that your calendar uses to block the correct amount of time.

Add a new service

  1. Go to Services (under the Team menu in the navigation)
  2. Click Add Service
  3. Fill in:
    • Name — what clients will see (e.g., "Gel Manicure," "Full Set Acrylics")
    • Description — optional details about the service
    • Duration — how long the service takes in minutes. Be realistic — include cleanup time
    • Price — the base price for this service
    • Currency — defaults to USD
  4. Click Create

The service is now active and available for booking.

Edit or deactivate a service

  1. Go to Services
  2. Click Edit on the service you want to change
  3. Update the fields and click Save

To temporarily remove a service without deleting it, toggle the Active/Inactive switch. Inactive services won't appear on your booking page or in new bookings, but existing appointments for that service are preserved.

Tips for setting up services

Get durations right. This is the most important field. If your gel manicure takes 45 minutes including cleanup but you enter 30 minutes, your calendar will create overlapping appointments. Time each service realistically.

Include buffer time in the duration. Add 5–10 minutes for sanitizing tools and setting up between clients. A 30-minute manicure might need a 35-minute slot.

Match your existing menu. If you have a paper menu or a price list posted in your salon, enter those same services with the same names. Clients expect consistency.

Start with your most popular services. You don't need to add everything at once. Start with your top 5–10 services and add more later.

Assign services to staff

After adding services, assign them to your staff so clients can book the right service with the right provider. See How to Add Staff Members for details.

What to do next

  1. Add your staff members — invite your team and assign them services
