How to Set Up Commission Tracking

Commission tracking calculates how much each provider earns based on the services they perform. Set a default rate for the team, then customize per provider or per service as needed.

Open commission settings

  1. Go to Commissions (under the Team menu, admin only)
  2. Click Settings in the top-right corner

Commission pages are PIN-protected if you've enabled the PIN requirement in your security settings.

Set a default rate

Under Team Defaults, enter a Service Commission percentage (e.g., 60%). This rate applies to any provider who doesn't have a custom profile.

Click Save Defaults.

Create a provider profile

Under Provider Profiles, you'll see all active providers. Click Set Up next to a provider to create their commission profile:

  • Service — the provider's commission percentage. If left empty, the team default is used
  • Hourly Base — an optional reference rate (for your records, not used in calculations)
  • Service Overrides — set different rates for specific services (e.g., 50% for haircuts, 40% for color). Select a service from the dropdown, enter the rate, and click the + button to add it
  • Notes — optional notes about the agreement

Click Save Profile.

View commission reports

Go to Commissions (under the Team menu). The main page shows each provider's earnings for the selected period:

  • Revenue — total service revenue
  • Commission — calculated payout based on their rate
  • Tips — tips received
  • Total Payout — commission + tips

Use the date navigation to switch between periods: Daily, Weekly, Bi-Weekly, Monthly, or Yearly. Click Detail → on any provider to see their full breakdown.

Export the data with the Export CSV button at the bottom.

How commissions are calculated

Commissions are calculated automatically when a checkout is completed. The system uses the provider's rate (or team default if no custom profile exists), applies any service-specific overrides, and tracks the result.

Tips are tracked separately — they're attributed to the provider who performed the service, including card tips from the terminal.
