How to Handle Cancellations and Reschedules
Cancellations and reschedules are a normal part of running a salon. SupaDay gives you multiple ways to handle them.
Cancel a booking
To cancel an appointment, change its status to Cancelled:
- Click the booking on the calendar to open the details panel
- Use the Status dropdown and select Cancelled
The status updates immediately. The booking stays in your records — it's not deleted.
You can also cancel from the booking list: find the booking under Booking History (in the Insights menu) and change the status in the actions column.
Reschedule a booking
There's no separate "reschedule" button — rescheduling is just editing the date and time:
- Click the booking on the calendar to open the details panel
- Click Edit Booking
- Change the Date & Time
- Click Save Changes
The system will check for conflicts with the new time before saving.
Mark a no-show
When a client doesn't show up, change the status to No Show:
- Click the booking on the calendar
- Use the Status dropdown and select No Show
Tracking no-shows helps you identify patterns and decide whether to require deposits for certain clients.
Let clients manage their own bookings
If you want clients to reschedule or cancel on their own:
- Go to Settings (under Settings & Billing)
- In the Customer Self-Service section, toggle Allow customers to modify / cancel their bookings on
Clients can then reschedule or cancel from their booking confirmation email without calling your salon.
Delete vs. cancel
- Cancel — changes the status to Cancelled. The booking record stays in your history
- Delete — permanently removes the booking from the system
Filter by status
To see all cancelled or no-show bookings:
- Go to Booking History (under Insights in the navigation)
- Use the Status filter dropdown to select Cancelled or No Show
- Optionally filter by date range, provider, or service
