How to Set Your Working Hours
Your working hours control when clients can book online and when your calendar shows available slots. Set these before enabling online booking.
Set your business hours
- Go to Settings (under Settings & Billing in the navigation)
- Scroll to the Business Hours section
- For each day of the week:
- Check the box to mark the day as open
- Set the start time and end time using the hour and minute dropdowns
- Leave unchecked for days your salon is closed
- Click Save
The hour dropdown displays in 12-hour format (e.g., 9 AM, 7 PM) and minutes are in 5-minute increments.
How business hours affect booking
- Online booking — clients can only select times within your open hours
- Calendar — your calendar displays the working hours range for each day
Business hours vs. staff hours
SupaDay has two levels of hours:
- Business hours (set here) — when your salon is open
- Staff hours (set per team member) — when each individual staff member is available
Online booking uses staff hours to determine available time slots. When you add new staff, they start with no hours set — you'll configure their individual schedule on their profile.
Common setups
Standard nail salon: Open Tuesday–Saturday 9:30 AM – 7:00 PM, closed Sunday–Monday.
Extended hours: Some salons set wide business hours (8 AM – 9 PM) and let individual staff schedules control actual availability.
Split shifts: Business hours don't support mid-day breaks — each day has one start and end time. If your salon closes for lunch, set your hours to cover the full range and manage breaks through individual staff schedules.
