How to Create and Edit a Booking

You can create bookings from the calendar, the booking list, or the quick action button. Here's how the booking form works.

Create a new booking

  1. On the calendar, click an empty time slot in a staff member's column — the form opens pre-filled with the date, time, and provider. This is the fastest way. (You can also use the + button in the bottom-right corner)
  2. Fill in the remaining fields:
    • Customer — type a name or phone number to search. If the customer is new, you can create them inline
    • Provider — select which staff member will perform the service
    • Service — choose from your service list. The duration is shown next to each service name
    • Date & Time — pick the date and time for the appointment
    • Status — choose Pending or Confirmed (default is Confirmed)
    • Customer Notes — optional notes visible to the customer
    • Internal Notes — optional private notes only visible to staff
  3. Click Check Conflicts to verify the time slot is available
  4. Click Create Booking

If conflicts are detected, the system suggests alternatives: the next available time, other times today, or other available providers.

Add multiple services or providers

For group bookings (e.g., a client getting a manicure and pedicure from different techs), click + Add Provider or + Add Service to add more rows. Each row gets its own provider, service, and time. All rows are linked together as a group.

Use a custom duration

If a specific appointment needs more or less time than the default service duration, toggle Custom duration and set the exact minutes.

Edit an existing booking

  1. Click a booking on the calendar to open the details panel
  2. Click Edit Booking
  3. Change any fields — customer, provider, service, date/time, status, or notes
  4. Click Save Changes

When editing, all five statuses are available: Pending, Confirmed, Completed, Cancelled, and No Show.

Change a booking's status

You don't need to open the edit form to change status. From the booking details panel, use the Status dropdown directly — it updates immediately.

The five statuses:

  • Pending — waiting for confirmation
  • Confirmed — appointment is set
  • Completed — service was performed
  • Cancelled — appointment was cancelled
  • No Show — client didn't show up

Delete a booking

Click Delete in the booking details panel or on the booking list. You'll be asked to confirm before the booking is permanently removed.
