How to Set Up Automated Review Requests
Automated review requests send a message to clients after their appointment, asking them to share feedback. Positive feedback can be directed to your Google Business Profile. This feature requires the Business plan.
Open the reviews page
Go to Reviews (under the More menu, Marketing section, admin only). The page title is "Reviews & Reputation."
Connect your Google Business Profile
- Click Connect Google Profile
- Search for your business by name
- Select your business from the results
- Click Connect This Business
Once connected, you'll see your business name, address, a "Review page" link, and a "View on Maps" link. To disconnect or change, use the three-dot menu.
Turn on automated requests
Toggle Automated Review Requests on. By default, requests are sent 24 hours after a visit via email — or text message if the client has no email on file.
Customize timing and messages
Click Edit message to expand the settings:
- Timing — choose when to send: 2, 4, 12, 24, 48, or 72 hours after the visit
- Email — customize the subject line and message body. Use variables like
:customer_name,:team_name, and:service_nameto personalize. A live preview shows how the email will look - SMS — customize the text message (only sent when the client has no email). Use
:customer_name,:team_name, and:review_url
Click Save when done.
Track your results
Five stats show at a glance: Sent, Opened, Completed, Avg Rating, and Positive (percentage of positive reviews, color-coded green/amber).
Internal feedback
Below the stats, the Internal Feedback section shows all feedback received — customer name, service, star rating (1–5), comment, and date. This is feedback submitted through your review request form, not Google reviews directly.
